Kinnarps' LEIA chair proud winner of iF DESIGN AWARD 2018
- We are of course happy and honoured that our products have received awards of this nature, says Jenny Hörberg, Director Global Range & Design at Kinnarps. "The iF PRODUCT DESIGN AWARD is a highly prestigious award and proves that Kinnarps creates world-class furniture. Leia is both a functional and stylish meeting chair that is easy to arrange in larger or smaller groups and in different types of situations. For this reason we see it as a great fit for today's versatile working environments."
LEIA is a functional, ergonomic and stylish meeting chair that works just as well in meeting or training rooms as it does in social areas and cafeterias. As it is both stackable and linkable, it is also a great choice for furnishing larger spaces such as auditoriums, lecture halls or canteens, where it fills the space it requires without taking up unnecessary room. Leia has a simple yet appealing design in different finishes and is available as a plastic chair or with an upholstered seat. There are also a variety of materials and colours to choose from, making it easy to fit any room with Leia.
The aim with Leia is to optimally combine function, design and ergonomic benefits. It was designed by Johan Larsvall and Nils Löventorn from the Swedish design agency Idesign.
- With Leia, we wanted to take Scandinavian design to the edge. All lines are well thought-out in order to deliver good comfort. Leia is ergonomic and comfortable to sit on, and at the same time communicates an expressive and timeless design. Leia is all about the details and it is intended to be a given part of modern workplaces and public environments, explains Johan Larsvall from Idesign.
